ABOUT ME
Hi! I am Abhishek Kathuria, currently pursuing my Master's degree in Applied Data Science from the University of Victoria, Canada.
I previously worked as a Data Analyst at Ernst and Young LLP and have research internship experience from IIT-Kharagpur, Data Science internship experience from Nokia and have published 5 SCIE research publications. You can have a look at my research papers here.
My interests include Data Science, Machine Learning, and their applications in various domains such as Business, Healthcare to provide scalable solutions to real-world problems.

1. Image Classification using Deep Learning

This is the graduate final course project for CSC 581B: Deep Learning for Image Classification

Implemented customized CNNs and ResNet architectures from scratch using Pytorch.

Used transfer learning for pre-trained ResNet-18 architecture for CIFAR-100 classification task.

2. Answering Product Related User Queries with Capsule Network

Worked at CNeRG lab at IIT-Kharagpur as a summer research intern under the supervision of Dr. Pawan Goyal.

This project involves generating automated answers for product questions present on flipkart.com, using the product specifications.

Implemented Routing algorithm using Keras framework in Python.

2. Evaluating Cohesion Score with Email Clusting
-
This project involves clustering of emails and finding intra-cluster similarity through a cohesion score.

Used K-means and Hierarchical clustering for implementation.

Received Best Research Paper Award for presenting my publication as the first author at IC4S-2019 International Conference.
